Dr. Joan Kang Shin
Associate Professor of Education, Author @George Mason University, National Geographic Learning
Dr. Joan Kang Shin is an Associate Professor of Education at George Mason University and the Director of the Global Online Teacher Education Center (GOTEC).  In 2016, Dr. Shin was named one of the 30 Up and Coming Leaders of TESOL by TESOL International Association. In 2021, she was named one of the top 30 English Language Specialists by the U.S. Department of State. She currently sits on the Board of Trustees for The International Research Foundation for English Language Education (TIRF).   She is a Series Editor of National Geographic Learning’s young learner programs Welcome to Our World, Our World, and Explore Our World, as well as the teen program Impact, and an author of the professional development title Teaching Young Learners English.
Tatiana Fanshtein
Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Materials Designer
Tatiana Fanshtein is a devoted teacher, teacher trainer, material designer, conference speaker and online school owner. She hosts a sucessfull blog on Instagram called tatiana_theteacher with more than 15 000 subscribers, where she shares her unique experience and teaching ideas. Her expertise lies in teaching students to speak from an early age. Tatiana’s created 13 online courses for teachers, has given quite a few webinars and seminars in different cities of Russia. More than 2000 language teachers have taken her courses. Tatiana’s currently teaching grops of very young leaners online.
Anka Zapart
Teacher, Teacher Trainer
Anka is a teacher, an ADOS for VYL and YL BKC-⁠IH Moscow and a teacher trainer (IH VYL and IH CYLT). She holds an MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from the University of Leicester. Anka has been teaching for 15+ years in Poland, the UK, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Russia. Her professional interests include second language acquisition in pre-schoolers in instructed settings, assessment for VYL and YL, literacy in the early years, CLIL and material development.
